Between The Scan Lines (2011)

Footage from common household surfaces processed to the point of complete abstraction and programmed into a MIDI where they were played back as a video music composition accompanied by Ian Harper on guitar. The title alludes to the additional interlace distortions generated by recreating an encoding accident that occurred several years ago when as a young editor I inadvertently mangled several hours of footage that a client had shot in Europe which needed to be converted to the NTSC format.
